Warehouses

Feature and functional capabilities are highly customisable according to the customer operations. DISTRiX allows maximum flexibility beyond the scope of this document.

Warehouses may be structured according the four layer hierarchy described within 'Materials Inventory'. This permits warehouses to serve as both physical as well as logical locations serving any level or number of companies or divisions.

Warehouse operations may be structured according to operational and trading term needs for that company and applied according to what ever company is being managed at that moment. For example permission to issue invoices in the London warehouse but not credit notes while both are issued in Plymouth and none are issued in Swansea but rather referred to head office.

Optimise warehouse routing for picking by aisle, row and bin or bulk store areas for location control. Capture inventory details with radio frequency bar code scanners. Additionally optimise routing and picking with pallet and product dimensions including environmental hazards and recycling information.

The Warehousing module may be interfaced into a logistics solution for onward logistic control.
